What do you do about fallen autumnal leaves in your garden (if you have one)? They make fantastic mulch or compost if you have a place to store them, but if not, simply raking them onto any borders, or around any trees or shrubs will feed the soil and plants and saves the extra effort of bagging them or getting them into a bin.
Piled leaves are also a cosy habitat for all sorts of wildlife including bugs and hedgehogs.
