Eating seasonal, locally-produced food means less carbon is used in transportation and storage - and it's wonderfully fresh and delicious. So what's in season this month?
Fruit: Blackberries, Damsons, Pears, Plums, early varieties of Apples, Raspberries and the last of the Strawberries.
Vegetables: Beetroot, Broccoli, Butternut Squash, Carrots, Cauliflower, Celery, Courgettes, Chicory, Chillies, Cucumber, Garlic, Kale, Kohlrabi, Lettuce, Mangetout, Onions, Peas, Peppers, Late Potatoes, Radishes, Rocket, Runner Beans, Spinach, Sweetcorn and Tomatoes,
